At The Section 8, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect two distinct kinds of information:

• Identifying information: your email address, if you make a purchase, sign up for the waitlist, or submit the contact form.
• Usage and interaction data: which pages you visit, which tools and features you use (for example, the free calculator or the skill configurator), and general engagement patterns like which steps of a flow you complete. This is collected automatically via Google Analytics for every visitor, whether or not you ever give us your email.

How We Use Your Information

We use your email to deliver the skill files you purchase, to notify you of critical updates (such as the annual HUD FMR refresh), and to follow up on inquiries you submit. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

We use usage and interaction data in aggregate to understand which parts of the product are useful, where visitors get stuck, and what to improve. This data is tied to an anonymous browser identifier assigned by Google Analytics, not to your name or email. If you separately give us your email (waitlist, contact form, or purchase), that email is stored in our CRM for the purposes described above — it is not merged into or sent to Google Analytics.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Ads to understand site usage and measure the effectiveness of our marketing. These services use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser across visits and record the interactions described above. Google acts as a data processor for this information under its own privacy policy and terms; we do not send your name, email, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or manage ad personalization at Google's Ad Settings. Blocking these cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or any of its tools.

Claude AI Privacy

Our tools operate as "Skills" (Project Instructions) inside your personal Claude workspace. We do not have access to your chat history, the properties you analyze, or any data you input into Claude. All analysis happens securely within your Anthropic account according to their privacy policies.
